Dynamic Duo Jacquis Neal and Edgar Momplaisir Are ‘Culture Kings’

Comedians and performers Jacquis Neal (American Theatre Company, Adventure Stage Chicago, UCB Theatre) and Edgar Momplaisir (UCB Theatre, NBC’s “Great News”) are no strangers to the stage. In fact, their unique comedy stylings, which are centered around their experiences as black men, have long captured a diverse, African-American skewing audience. And their ensemble podcast “Culture Kings,” which started in January of 2018 and recently joined the Earwolf network, is no different.

“Culture Kings” is a show where comedy, blackness and pop culture collide. It covers topics ranging from sports and music to the best way to eat a taco (head straight up or askew?). No wonder the show has earned Neal and Momplaisir, “a spot on the Mount Rushmore of dynamic podcasting duos,” according to Vulture.
