Our new CEO Adam Sachs was just interviewed for a nice article in Radio and Internet News, written by VP and Managing Editor Brad Hill. The interview focuses on the business of podcasting, emphasizing that, “Midroll Media’s unique stance in the industry is its support of the art, craft and livelihood of podcasters.”
Adam explains, “Our ad sales developed in a completely organic way. It was podcasters wanting to monetize their craft, and not knowing how to do it.” The company is “born out of Earwolf, and the perspective of podcasters. Our head of sales [Lex Friedman] has three active podcasts.”
Adam also gets down to brass tacks, discussing some of the qualities that are best for podcasts to have for effective monetization.
