Midroll leadership team expands with addition of three new hires in content, sales and business management

NEW YORK – Leading podcast company Midroll is growing its leadership team with the hire of three industry experts who are helping prime the company for growth in 2017 and beyond.

Korri Kolesa is senior vice president of sales, responsible for optimizing Midroll’s operations to drive significant growth. Kolesa’s extensive background in digital media includes several years as the vice president of sales operations and strategy at Fox Interactive Media, where she oversaw sales efforts for MySpace, IGN and other major Fox properties. Most recently, she was project director at Spark No. 9. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Anthropology from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Kolesa is based in New York City.

Eric Spiegelman is vice president of business affairs and acquisitions for Midroll, responsible for sourcing and negotiating content deals. Spiegelman joins the company from his own legal practice, where he represented Midroll as a transactional attorney for five years. He founded a digital video production company with GreeneStreet Films, and earlier ran business and legal affairs for an HBO comedy website. Spiegelman received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is based in Los Angeles.

Peter Clowney is executive editor for Midroll, charged with shaping and strengthening existing and new shows and growing Midroll’s overall content operations. He arrives from Gimlet, where he was head editor working on “Reply All” and “StartUp.” Clowney has years of experience in spoken-word audio, having worked on “This American Life,” “Fresh Air” and many American Public Media shows. Clowney received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wesleyan University. He is based in Wisconsin.
