Accomplished television journalist David Gregory has spent his career asking tough questions. Now he’s exploring fresh terrain on his new Earwolf podcast, “The David Gregory Show.”
David’s asking well known guests like media mogul Arianna Huffington, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and author Jon Meacham to go deeper, beyond their public story, to a more intimate place. Together with his guests he will explore their belifes, their faith, and the things that have mattered the most in their lives. Along the way David will open up in a way he’s never done before, sharing his own stories and experiences with audiences for the first time.
He told reporter and movie critic Clint Davis that his guests are people who he’s always wanted to talk to. On the first episode, launching today, David talks with Bravo host and “Real Housewives” creator Andy Cohen. “I knew some things I wanted to cover [with Cohen] but we just sort of went, and started talking,” he told Clint. “I don’t have an agenda with these interviews.”
Ellen Weiss, E.W. Scripps Co.’s Washington bureau chief, proposed the show to David and helped him prepare for this new endeavor. “[Listeners will] hear him in a completely different kind of mode — not as the hard-charging White House reporter or the moderator of ‘Meet the Press’,” she said.
